創(chuàng)作背景

歌詞的靈感來(lái)自于樂(lè)隊(duì)成員從阿伯丁經(jīng)格拉斯哥前往倫敦路上的所見(jiàn)所感。英倫三島多以環(huán)島替代十字路口，所以他們得以在路上遇見(jiàn)許多環(huán)島（roundabout）。一路上云層籠罩的山巒如同直指天空，形成了“山峰從天空降臨”[Mountains come out of the sky, and they stand there]的靈感，“繞過(guò)湖岸”[In and around the lake]的靈感來(lái)自于格拉斯哥沿途的一個(gè)湖。

經(jīng)過(guò)24小時(shí)的長(zhǎng)途乘車旅行，樂(lè)隊(duì)抵達(dá)倫敦，主場(chǎng)Jon Anderson得以與妻子團(tuán)聚，這是“經(jīng)過(guò)二十四小時(shí)我就要與你相見(jiàn)”[Twenty four before my love you'll see I be there with you]的靈感。
